What's in your box?

WIYB, a monthly box subscription of female-friendly sex toys, hygiene and health products, approached Eileen Matthews and I about collaborating to design a condom wrapper for Vulval Health Awareness Month (yes that's a real thing). We took that ask one step further and created a series of quirky, sassy informational social posts AND came up with an idea for a 3 Month subscription giveaway to help this start-up business gain traction.

No two (V)s are alike both in looks and pleasure preferences. You’ve got to help your partner help you by talking about the way your girl likes things done down there. There’s no shame in giving a tutorial. Whatever it takes to get yours is well worth any awkwardness.

Ladies, it’s time we stopped generally referring to our outer genitalia as “the vagina.” The vagina is not another name for vulva, and describing it as such may mislead your doctor to examine the wrong area which could result in a missed diagnosis. Plus, overgeneralizing the vagina demeans the importance of your clit, labia, urethral & anal opening. Rude.

Snowed in? Check yo'self! It’s important to perform self-examinations of your vulva at least every 3 months. Look from clit to anus, under every fold and hair for dark spots, lumps, bumps, and skin tags, any reoccurring blisters or sores, & symptoms of persistent itching, pain or soreness. If you notice a new abnormality, don’t be the girl who waits until your annual exam to see your ob/gyn
